Unsent, Ginza

Unsent, Ginza captures a quiet moment in the heart of Tokyo. Akira walks past a bright red mailbox without stopping, carrying with him thoughts that remain unspoken. Surrounded by the movement of the city, he chooses not to send the letter, leaving the story suspended between memory and decision. The painting explores the subtle emotions that exist in everyday places, moments that often pass unnoticed yet stay with us long after they are gone.

This work is part of an ongoing series inspired by journeys through Japan and Taiwan, where urban landscapes become stages for reflection, longing, and personal narratives. Through the character of Akira and the recurring presence of Kettlr, the painting invites viewers to consider the messages they never sent, the words left unsaid, and the memories they continue to carry forward. Rather than focusing on loss, Unsent, Ginza speaks about the quiet act of moving on while still holding a piece of the past.
