A Letter from The Kettlr – Untold, Alishan

Hello,

Thank you for being part of The Kettlr.

This month has been quieter than usual, not because nothing happened, but because most of the time has been spent in the studio.

A New Journey Begins

A new painting is currently taking shape.

Untold, Alishan is inspired by the quiet atmosphere of Alishan, Taiwan – a place where mist, forests, and railway tracks create moments that feel suspended between memory and reality.

Like every piece in the Untold Series, this work is not about documenting a place exactly as it is. Instead, it explores the emotions that remain after we leave, a memory that stays with us long after the journey ends.

Akira and Kettlr are slowly finding their place within this new landscape, and with every brushstroke, the story becomes a little clearer.

Work in Progress

The painting is still in progress, allowing each layer of colour and texture to develop naturally.

Rather than rushing to finish, I’m taking time to let the atmosphere emerge on its own. I believe the quiet moments are often the ones worth waiting for.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes sketches, details, and progress as Untold, Alishan gradually comes to life.
